Tamar Schlick received her B.S. degree in Mathematics from Wayne State University in 1982 and her M.S. (1985) and Ph.D. (1987) degree in Applied Mathematics from the Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences, New York University. Following a two-year NSF Postdoctoral Fellowship at NYU and the Weizmann Institute, she joined the faculty of Chemistry and Mathematics at NYU, where she is currently an Associate Professor. Since 1994 she has also been an Associate Investigator of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and a member of the Biochemistry Department, NYU medical school.
